I love this dress...


I can make this and make it easy. Comfy, work appropriate and pretty!

Last UFO....

This is a sleeveless empire waisted top. It will be made of a black and white medium scaled paisley print, lined in black. The print is from my stash.



Black lining is silkessence, 2 yards for $5.58. There is a black fuzzy trim for under the bust. 1-1/8 yards for $0.58. And since this is a fitted top, there is an invisible zipper, $1.49 with coupon.....

UFOs

I just want to get these all on the project list so I remember what I am doing....

This one is another tunic top, but on me will hit just above the hip bone. Fabric is 100% cotton, in a pink, peach cream paisley print. It was 16.81 for 3 yards from Red Rooster Quilts.

Trim is a cream colored chiffon ribbon, it was 2.09 from Joann's.

UFOs

OK the project after the dress is a top. I am making view A but tunic length. I will be narrowing the front straps because I have noticed on other sleeveless tops this part can be too wide. It throws the fit off and makes it uncomfortable for me.


This top is a slip on, with a sash that ties in the back. The fabric is a silky from the remanent bins at Joann's. It is trimmed in red peachskin.

First Post!!!!

I am making View C with View A sleeves. I like the longer sleeves for work and they are more flattering to my arms.

I cut all the pieces in a size 16. New Look is sized really small so I hope this fits. This is the worst part. I am still trying to figure out how to find the right size. I do the measurements and match them up to the pattern envelope. But sometimes it just does work.

The main body of the dress is a navy, pink, and light blue paisley print.

It is trimmed in navy blue cotton. I am hoping for a lightweight summer work-appropriate dress.

I will learn how to post pictures before the dress is finished......
